Anushka Sen was part of Jadavpur University's English Department from 2009-2014. She is currently pursuing a PhD in English Literature at Indiana University, Bloomington, where she always worries about the political situation back home. She is grateful to all who have kept her on her toes about class and caste privilege, and does her best to reflect that learning without posturing as a woke savarna.
